We first met Kate when she asked us to help furnish a Melbourne Music Week event because she was organising to benefit a children’s charity. What a gal! Kate is a creative lady with heaps of skills in pottery + ceramics, floristry, styling and grazing tables, so we knew this would be a super creative, feast for one’s eyeballs, and a great party to boot!

The couple

Jace and Kate are a self-confessed crazy DIY couple – in addition to all the stuff I noted about Kate above, she sewed her own veil, made the ceremony arch, and did the flowers, styling and even made ceramics for the table settings. Our long haired groom, Jace is a home beer brewer, hobby wood carver and a distiller by trade. He also built a bunch of furniture for the wedding because that’s what you do when you’re handy AF like these two. There were so many beautiful personal touches that made it a really special wedding for them and their loved ones.

CEREMONY

Warrawong Wool Shed is unsurprisingly set on a farm. The lovely couple made use of the beautiful green landscape creating their ceremony in a paddock. Using our mis-matched dining chairs to add buckloads of character, the built and arch and Kate floral-ed it up beautifully.

Kate and her best ladies slash brides babes all looked gorgeous; Kate with her pink hair and vintage inspired gown, and her ladies in similar but personalised outfits.

Not a surprise, but our fab bride also made this colourful tinsel backdrop, and that wonderful bouquet.

RECEPTION

Using our reclaimed Tasmanian Oak trestle tables and a beautifully curated group of our vintage dining chairs, Kate and Jace transformed the former wool shed into a beautiful, character filled reception venue.

Food heaven

Combining his and hers cakes (how cute is that!), stunning florals, candles, family photos and grazing style foods, the cake table looked amazing against the backdrop of the rendered stone shed walls.
